3rd International Conference on Natha Yoga Sampradaya Tradition
SUMMARY

Nath
Yoga is a philosophical tradition of Hinduism. It has been with us since the
time immemorial. Natha Yoga Tradition is based on spiritual philosophy founded
by our great Nath Yogis, Sages, Saints and Yoga Sadhaka. This particular Nath
philosophy has been extending throughout the world in the 21st century with
the same philosophy and selfless karma practiced by our immolated Nath Yogis
of this part of the world.
The International Yoga Co-ordination Center (YOCOCEN), Brazil
organized the 3rd International Conference on Natha Yoga Sampradaya
Tradition with the slogan of “Reviving Nath Vidya” from
April 23 to 25 in Pokhara, Nepal under the chairmanship of Maria Helena
de Bastos Freire, the chairperson of YOCOCEN and it
was co-organized by Gorakshyanath Sewa Sangh, Nepal. The conference
was graced by the legendary living Yogis philosophical scientists, professors,
intellectuals and Yogacharya of the world.
The conference was the first of this kind in Nepal. About 50 national and international
representatives, delegates and participants representing Nepal, India, Spain,
Brazil, USA, UK and Argentina attended the conference presenting their research
-based papers on Nath Vidya, its philosophy, literature and yoga culture and
tradition. The inaugural ceremony had began in the presence of Dr. Swami Prapanacharya
and was concluded in the graceful presence of a Vedantic Yogi Dr. Swami Ramananda
Giri of Nepal. The conference participants such as Dr. Bhola Nath Yogi, Dr.
Chintamani Yogi. Prof. Dr. Trilok Chandra Majapuria, Dr. Ruy Alfredo de Bastos
Freire Filho, Swami Shivanath Yogi, Acharya Vishwanath, Ganesh Oli , Arun Subedi
and Mohannath Yogi presented their working papers on Nath Yoga philosophy. The
conference aimed at preserving, preaching, propagating and expanding the subtle
philosophy of Shaiva literature, Gorakshyanath Vidya, Nath Culture and Yoga
Tradition throughout the world. The 3rd International Conference on Nath Yoga
Sampradaya Tradition concluded with some noble and ideal conclusions of establishment
of YOCOCEN Chapter in Nepal, expansion and extension on Gorakshyanath, Aadinath
and Matshyendranath yoga culture and tradition founded by Guru Gorakhanath with
the active initiative of Dr. Bholanath Yogi, the conference co-ordinator of
Nepal.
